Gib is “short for Gilbert”. My full name is Gilbert Ronald Reimschussel. In my home growing up, as I’m sure some of you can relate, hearing your full name meant you were in trouble. The upshot of such a long name, was by the time my parents could finish saying the full thing, I had some lead time to get my story straight… it also filled the entire back of my hockey jersey in high school — elbow to elbow.
